How We Support Families

Cornerstone Franciscan Family Services provides holistic support to families in Baltimore County facing housing instability.

Our programs are designed to:

  • Keep families housed by preventing homelessness before it starts

  • Strengthen financial resilience through education and skill-building

  • Support long-term stability with individualized care and wraparound services

Through personalized case management, we meet families where they are, provide the tools they need, and help them move forward with dignity.

How We Help

Families participating in our programs have access to:

  • Eviction Prevention

    Connections to emergency assistance and rent relief resources.

  • Planning for Housing Stability

    Collaborative budgeting, accessing benefits, and long-term housing strategies.

  • Family Case Management

    Personalized support to help families set goals around housing, employment, and daily life.

  • Life Skills & Education

    Group and individual sessions focused on parenting, financial literacy, and household management.

  • Child & Youth Support

    Programs that help children improve school attendance, engagement, and well-being.

Community Schools Rental Assistance Program


Cornerstone Franciscan Family Services is a partner in the Community Schools Rental Assistance Program (CSRAP), funded by the Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development and the Baltimore County Department of Housing and Community Development.

This program provides limited financial assistance to families of students in Baltimore County’s community schools who are:

Struggling to pay 
past-due rent

Facing utility shut-offs

Experiencing homelessness or risk of eviction

In need of help with relocation costs 

(final rent, security deposit, or moving expenses)

How to Access CSRAP

  • Request a referral from BCPS (PPW worker, Community School Coordinator, Social Worker, or Counselor)

  • Call Coordinated Entry at 410-887-8463, Option 1 to request a referral for the Community School Rental Assistance Program

  • Email Cornerstone directly at participantservices@cfmins.org

Coordinated Entry will assess your situation and connect you to available housing programs and resources.
